Abstract :
The 2008 financial crisis has brought about detriments as well as opportunities to Shanzai cellphones industry in Shenzhen, China, and to the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China as a whole. While the detriments are the suffering of drastic slump in sales volumes for Shanzhai cellphones, the opportunities are more far-reaching, which refers to the dawn of strategic restructuring of Shanzai in Shenzhen. This research will first conduct two typical case analysis, then the author will try to distil the path of technical upgrading of the Shanzhai cellphone enterprises, and in turn tentatively come up with the path of their strategic upgrading. The study aims to offer some insights on the strategic restructuring of China´ s small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
