  • Abstract
    Informatization is perceived as an agent of change and a powerful force for development. It is a handy tool for measuring the information infrastructure available in a particular community and thus provides scope for making comparisons between nations as far as information technology (IT) applications are concerned. It is an important determinant of economic development. Almost all nations have chosen informatization as the most promising means for development as is evident from the explosive diffusion of computers, telecommunications, broadcast and video media, and information media. These technologies enhance the ability to manage information consumption and production. There has been dynamic expansion in the production of information and growth in IT has raised renewed hopes for e development. This paper conducted the present status of informatization in China by a great deal data to explore the contribution of informatization to China´ s industries. So it can guide governments and enterprises to accelerate informatization efficiently.
