Abstract :
Group-velocity mismatch in third harmonic generation (THG) is investigated. A new walk-off compensated crystal is used as the mixer. Theoretical results show that THG conversion efficiency of ultra-short pulses can be increased dramatically with this design. Influence of fast-wave-delaying to frequency conversion properties of ultra-short pulses is analyzed.
