  • Abstract
With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the global economic integration graually deepens, English for science and technology (EST) will be attached greater importance and concern in scientific and linguistic fields. Many countries in the world, including China, have established research centers of EST, have also set up this major or department in universities, specializing in research, teaching of EST and raising talents in this field. This fully shows that the rapid development of China´s science and technology, the positive cycle of economy as well as the world´s political, economic, scientific and technological activities have an increasing need for EST. From the application point of view, scientific and technical personnel need to master the linguistic features of EST, such as glossary, grammar and sentence structure.
