Abstract
The use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as vectors for targeted drug delivery was recently considered, thanks to their ability to permeate the cellular membrane which, instead, results highly refractory to transfer with other vectors (viral and not viral). Our project is devoted to define and characterize a CNTs based nanocompound for gene-moduling, with the final aim of complementing defective functions in cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene.
