Abstract
An indigenously designed and developed fire detection and extinguisher system was subjected to detailed EMI investigations for a typical military application. The system´s behaviour w.r.t EMI specification (MIL-STD461C) and hardening carried out are reported in brief. Another source of same equipment was also evaluated for the same application and the results are compared. Out of two sources, one selected for use was examined in close relation to performance objectives and the system was improved to optimum level. This paper describes the EMC case history of former in detail.
