Abstract :
This paper proposed a parametric method to search the region needed fairinged of the automotive panels´ contour, designed the roller mapping algorithm to generate the smooth curves, and used the contour curves and the smooth curves to generate the final smooth surface by skinning method. At last, two automobile panels had been contour fairinged successfully, the results show that algorithm this paper proposed is effective and feasible.
