Abstract

To locate the dairy distribution center (DC), reliability is cosidered as a measure of distribution sevice level, instead of only taking distribution cost into account. A mathematical model is presented. Firstly the existence and calculation of reliability are described in detail. Then genetic algorithm is used to solve the model, and the optimal solution of the model was obtained by selecting the encode method and genetic operator correctly. Finally, an application example is given for evaluation of the proposed method.
