Abstract :
Integration is playing an effective role in increasing revenues of enterprise systems. Heterogeneous operating systems, applications and RDBMS, inadequate of internet solutions, incompatible data format, application changes overtime and network problems are the main obstacles that should be taken in consideration in the process of integrating e-business applications. XML is the W3C standard language that allows all systems to smoothly interact, integrate and easily exchange data. This paper deals with using Message-Oriented Middleware patterns and XML technology to overcome some of the integration hurdles. A real case study of presenting XML messages in integrating enterprise applications in Egyptian Customs Authority is discussed. In this work, the integration problems are proposed with building and implementing a cost effective Enterprise Application Integration solution to enhance and secure the integration process between organizations and their business partners to communicate relatively well with each other over network using XML with minimizing the complexity of the integration.
