  • Abstract
    Monolithic integrated circuits for high bit rate digital transmission systems are described. The circuits (AMI/binary coder and decoder, signal regenerator, phase comparator and laser driver) are designed and manufactured on an uncommitted transistor array using a bipolar UHF-process (ref 1). The measurements show that the circuits can be used for the 565 Mbit/s PCM-hierarchy and even above.
