  • Abstract
    Based on the virtue of FBG sensors, the design and fabrication of FBG smart layer on the basis of modularization and integration of optical fiber self-diagnosing system were discussed in this paper. The test research results show that the FBG smart layer has little infection to embed smart-layer into composite material, and there is very good linearity relation between the FBG sensors wavelength change and structural strain. Therefore, the FBG smart layer enable to realize the smart health monitoring of composites.
