Abstract :
The disadvantages of the current algorithms for the underwater acoustic Ad hoc networks were analyzed. After that, an energy and time efficiency based topology control algorithm was proposed. The networks topology is controlled by a single-hop transmission cost index defined in the algorithm. The index describes the energy consumption, the communication delay and the signal attenuation of the networks. The simulation shows that the new algorithm has better performance on the average node degree, the end-to-end delay and the energy efficiency.
