Abstract
Optimal sensing time in spectrum sensing is studied in this paper with a target function developed by weighting the data transmitting time and the data transmitting opportunities. The optimal sensing time is derived for Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. The simulation results show that the optimal sensing time decreases when data transmitting time weights more than data transmitting opportunities in target function or the SNR increases.
