Abstract :
A silicon-based plasmonic waveguide is designed, fabricated and characterized. A propagation distance of 2.00µm at λ=1550nm was measured and the coupling efficiency to the silicon-on-insulator platform was 38.0%. Scans of telecommunication wavelengths are presented.
