Abstract
This paper describes how the performance of wearable textile antenna is affected by antenna bending. Here, we will focus on the resonance frequency fluctuation and input-match bandwidth variation due to the antenna bending as well as the changes in radiation pattern and antenna efficiency. This study is carried out for a circularly polarized textile patch antenna operating at Iridium satellite system. The results show that high efficiency and robustness against bending effects are maintained. A 5 % return loss bandwidth is measured.
