Abstract
In this paper we verify the capability of a MIMO over-the-air (OTA) test method to create an appropriate propagation environment in an anechoic chamber. The target is to demonstrate that it is possible to create required characteristics of radio propagation channel inside the chamber. The evaluated propagation characteristics are amplitude distribution of fading coefficients, power delay profile, Doppler spectrum, and spatial auto-correlation. Both simulation and measurement results are collected and compared to a theoretical and reference model characteristics. The reference radio channel models are 3GPP SCM, SCME, and IEEE 802.11n, or simplifications of them. Results show good agreement between OTA and the reference model in most of the cases.
