Abstract
This paper presents a synthesis on the phenomenon of transmission in deterministic propagation modelling based on ray-tracing and Geometrical Optics (GO). The multiple reflections inside the interacting materials are considered in the transmission coefficients formulas because this study is made for indoor environments. After the description of the commonly used transmission coefficients found in the litterature, the authors present their global transmission coefficient, which has the particularity of no simplifying assumptions. This last coefficient is used as a reference to validate the litterature coefficients. Then, the authors show that only one litterature coefficient is valid and look for its validity domains making simulations depending on transmission scenario parameters.
