Abstract
A comparison between two new solution strategies for detecting faulty elements in phased arrays is proposed. The two methods are tested against experimental data. The deterministic approaches assume as input amplitude and phase of near-field distribution and allow to determine the position of the faulty elements. The results confirm the usefulness of the proposed techniques, highlighting the advantages and the disadvantages of the methods.
