The micro-electrolytic process was used to treat pharmaceutical wastewater of a pharmaceutical factory, The treating result was studied according to the removal rate of COD and the chroma. The trial determined optimal conditions by studied effects of initial pH value of wastewater, size of iron filings, iron-carbon ratio, retention time, reaction condition, etc, on the removal rate of COD and chroma. The best result was attained when At room temperature, initial pH value of wastewater is 2, size of iron filings is 0.6 mm, iron-carbon volume ratio is 20:1, retention time is 120min and being aerated at room temperature, the process is benefit to the following biological chemical treatment.
