Abstract
In order to segment target object from soft-PCB image, an improved OTSU algorithm is proposed by adjusting gray range of OTSU in this paper. First computing image histogram, then counting the number and value of histogram peak, getting the area and value of high light region, and obtaining the proportion of two low gray peak, finally judging the image pattern according the acquired results, if the image is satisfied with the pattern conditions and we perform the OTSU algorithm with modified gray range, otherwise with initial gray range. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm is efficiently and quickly to be used in soft-PCB hole-punching machine.
