Abstract
To mitigate the disasters, casualties and economic losses by the earthquake, a new seismic emergency auto-handling instrument for the lifeline engineering was presented. The MEMS and embedded system technologies were introduced to solve the high performance, high reliability, and low cost problems. And a 3-layer architecture model was used to compose the software system, which enhanced the responding speed and the auto-handling performance. Through the preliminary experiment analysis, the low cost seismic emergency auto-handling instrument could measure the ground motion acceleration in real-time, and realize the seismic emergency auto-handling rapidly.
