Current Situation and Improvement Strategy for Campus Parking in China

For a long time, people´s concern about traffic problems focus on the road and road facilities, and the research of parking is very new and mainly in urban centers, commercial, etc., So studies which specialize in parking planning and management on university campus are rarely. Through investigating and analysis of campus parking characteristics, this paper takes Chang´an University campus for example, reveals the laws of the campus parking behavior which include the number of vehicles of entering and leaving, parking time, parking purposes, and so on, and analyzes the problems in parking system and puts forward reasonable proposals to improve parking planning and management in college.
