  • Abstract
    For massive terrain DEM data and texture data, the key technology of large-scale terrain walkthrough system are designing reasonable scene data storage and effective dynamical schedule strategy, which is summarized and discussed in this paper. The author has realized the display smoothness and continuity of the large-scale scene walkthrough system through block storage of the terrain and texture data, dynamic scheduling strategy, and introducing multi-threading technology to realize parallelization of rendering threads and data scheduling threads.
