  • Abstract
Car headlamp is one of the important parts of motor vehicles. To improve the driving safety at night, methods presented here: an Automotive Intelligent Headlamp System. It used MEMS methods, three-dimensional acceleration sensor and digital signal processor TMS320F2812 to be the core components. The three-axial acceleration sensors measured the motion elements of automobile´s movements. The data collected would be strengthened, filtered, A/D transformed and then processed by the core processor. Then the vehicle steering angle and pitch angle were obtained. The system workes well in controlling headlight angle. Also when the car is uphill or downhill, it can adjust the headlamps according to the value of the appropriate vertical angle. The advantages of such a kind of car headlamps are: quick response, high intelligent and good reliability.
