Abstract :
We propose a novel wavelength-division-multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) architecture to simultaneously provide downstream, broadcasting and upstream transmission services. WDM-PON with 5-Gb/s downstream point-to-point signals, 5-Gb/s broadcasting signals, and 1.25-Gb/s upstream signals is successfully demonstrated.
