Abstract :
We theoretically discuss transmission characteristics of 100-Gbit/s POLMUX WDM 16-QAM signals. Using laser linewidths narrower than 500 kHz, digital equalization, and dispersion-unmanaged links, we can achieve 2,000-km transmission with spectral efficiency of 4 bit/s/Hz.
