  • Abstract
Multi-channel wavelength filters utilizing multilayer-type photonic crystals (PhCs) for the near infrared (NIR) wavelength range are designed and fabricated. The PhC filters (PhCFs) were made by the autocloning method and consisted of a wavy multilayer stack of Si/SiO2. Each PhCF is designed to function as a long-wave passing type edge filter with a cut-off wavelength at NIR (1200-1450 nm) wavelengths. The PhCFs are arranged in a mosaic pattern of the same dimensions as an InGaAs image sensor. We experimentally demonstrated the simultaneous acquisition of multi-wavelength images, and non-destructive estimation of a concentration of a specific liquid mixture.
