Abstract
The present thesis attempts to propose and design a non-linear impedance converting rectifier which utilizes the characteristics of non-linear impedance converting rectifiers´ conduction, turn-off and power storage to solve the problem of dead zones and peaked waves in conventional input current of rectifiers, by adopting overlapping pumping circuit linking form. The circuit changes the value of non-linear impedance in correspondence to the variation of voltage so that it can effectively overcome and narrow the dead zone´s range of input current, reduce harmonic waves and ensure the proximity of input current to sine wave, together with an improvement of the quality of the system´s power factor.
