Abstract
The paper presents simulation analyses of the CMA and the MMA blind equalization methods in the presence of a constant phase offset. A soft switching mechanism between a blind mode and the decision-directed (DD) one is applied for reduction of linear distortion in communication system. The performed experiments have the form of a comparative study of two closely related blind equalization methods working in an exemplary single carrier transmission system with square QAM modulation. Influence of a phase offset on equalization performance and the functionality of the switch procedure are examined.
