Abstract :
In this paper, nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) using C/GMRES method is applied to a pH neutralization process. pH control is an important operation in various industries. However, due to its nonlinearities, this is a difficult task. First, we summarize the C/GMRES method, a fast numerical algorithm for NMPC, and a first-principles dynamic model of a pH neutralization process. Then, we apply the method to the process and show its efficiency through a numerical example.
