Abstract
In this paper, synchronization of two different chaotic systems with matched and mismatched perturbations are presented by utilizing adaptive backstepping control approach. The advantage of this approach is that it can be applied to a variety of chaotic systems which can be transformed into the so-called strict-feedback form. Some adaptive mechanisms embedded in the proposed control scheme are used to adapt the unknown upper bounds of the perturbations. The resultant control scheme can indeed drive the controlled trajectories of the slave system to track those of the master system. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed control scheme.
