  • Abstract
Using remote sensing techniques to monitor changes of coastline or regional geological disasters have achieved good results, but it is was less used in the monitoring of reservoir bank. This article introduces the application that using multi-temporal Quickbird satellite images and original topographic map to monitor the bank collapse of Three Gorge reservoir, and analyzes its research methods and implementation steps. It shows the feasibility of using high-precision remote sensing technology to monitor reservoir bank collapse by a concrete example.
