Abstract
The effect of partial state setting of the integrator is discussed for standard servo-mechanism. The optimal state setting and the achievable performance are characterized in terms of the H2 performance. The proposed method is applied to the servo-mechanism for the inverted pendulum and the feature of the resulting system is investigated with the experimental results.
