  • Abstract
The data source of which this paper used was from MSS image in 1972, TM images in 1999, 2000 and 2008, analyzed area change of desertification types, matrix of area transfer, dynamic degree, changes of state index and so on at Ganjiahu wetland edge from 1972-2008. The results showed that: during the past 36 years, the area of desertification increased gradually; the largest area changing was water area into grassland, followed by grassland into sandy area and woodland into sandy area, It showed that the land desertification was growing; The average rate of annual change of desertification was relatively large, the growth rate of sandy area was the larges(19.4%), followed by grass growth rate 3.07%; the state index calculations of desertification types showed that the state index of sandy area and saline was positive with the trend of increasing size, the state indexes of woodland, grassland, water area were negative with the trend of downsizing size.
