Abstract :
It is necessary to carry out the investigation and evaluation of geological hazards before the large-scale engineering construction or urban planning. Ground survey is used in traditional methods, but it´s difficult to investigate the regional geological disasters because of its limited vision, unconvenient transport facilities or other reasons. The survey using remote sensing image interpretation, can directly recognise the point of geological disasters, determine the type and its nature, identify its causes, size, degree of hazard, distribution and trends. This article interpretes landslides along the Lixiang railway with the SPOT images and black-white aerial photograph, discusses the process of the original image, establishment of the remote sensing interpretation marks, the methods of interpreting detailed features of landslide. The ideal interpretation results are got.
