Abstract
A method is proposed to solve a class of multiple-attribute decision making problems where the alternatives are evaluated by two or more evaluators different from the decision maker. In multiple-attribute decision making, the decision maker must find the best one among a set of Pareto optimal solutions. Usually, this is done based on the preference of the decision maker. However, in the problems treated here, the alternatives are evaluated not by the decision maker but by other people. For example, in public services, the service provider is the decision maker who is to choose and provide the high-quality services, while the quality of services is evaluated by the clients. Hardly any of the existing methods addresses this type of problems. This paper proposes an interactive method for estimation of multiple evaluators´ preferences, their reasonable unification and finding the best solution. An example illustrates the validity and efficiency of the proposed method.
