Abstract
A coplanar waveguide (CPW) harmonic-rejecting monopole antenna with step impedance resonators (SIR) ground is proposed. The SIR ground is able to suppress the harmonic radiations without deteriorating and decreasing impendence bandwidth. The simulated bandwidth reaches 880 MHz (2.14-3.02 GHz) for S11<; -10dB, which is about 35% with respect to the center frequency of 2.5GHz. The proposed antenna is suitable for rectenna system.
