  • Abstract
Shielding effectiveness (SE) of electronic equipment directly influences the EMC performance of the circuit system. And the presence of slot on metal shell is a major cause of shielding effectiveness decline for the electronic equipment. For this problem, the PCB which is set in rectangular shielding shell is the research object in this paper. The influence of different numbers of slots, different slot shapes, different board sizes and different view points on shielding effectiveness is analyzed by applying the finite element method. Some suggestions from calculation results are presented for design of shielding and electronic equipment in the body of shell. The study is instructive for more effective use of metal shell to defense EMI and improve the system electromagnetic compatibility.
