Abstract :
For simulation of water grass in valley of Taihu lake, this thesis proposes a modeling method. B-spline curve interpolation is used to generate the midline of leaf´s surface, then triangular grids of surface are generated based on midline to make surface smooth. Simultaneously, the edge curve of leaf is generated. By these, the basic features of water grass´s leaf, such as curled, soft and floating, are fixed. At last, because of similarity, other leaf blades are modeled by rotation and scale transformation. The similar method can model other kinds of water grass. The experiment result demonstrates that, for modeling of water grass, this method is simple-controlled for water grass and it can lead to realistic simulation.
