Abstract
Aimed at the typical problems for the arbitrary decision when choosing a value of slow-to-start probability, a value range analysis of slow-to start probability based on the cellular automata microsimulation is put forward, that is, in the two situations of considering and not considering the characteristics of cautious behavior, analyzing the influence of changing the slow-to-start probability to average traffic volume, density and speed. Numerical simulation results show that the traffic volume would decrease with the increase of slow-to-start probability, but when the probability is less than 50%, the decrease is slow while sharp when the probability is bigger than 50%.The impact on average density and speed is similar.
