Abstract
It is proposed that the existing opinion about adiabaticity of sound does not reflect fully a nature of this phenomenon. It is valid only for medium, which is free of external force field. In the presence of an external force field, for example gravity, the medium becomes non-isentropic, in connection with it; possibly that the isobaric change of density is consequence of temperature fluctuation caused by fluctuation of entropy.
