  • Abstract
The rapid development of network technology in particular the widely use of the internet based on TCP/IP protocol, affects the way people work, learn and live greatly. Network´s business value and importance increases as people get more dependent on network. Every walk of life´s development and various activities of the word are inseparable from the Internet. However, as the telecommunication operation network, there are some shortcomings in IP network, as poor quality of service, too open protocol and inefficient management etc. With the development of advanced technology and new businesses, the structure of network has become more and more complexes. Meanwhile, the customers of the network have grown more mature. They require better services and bigger network speed. In addition, network operators need to improve the network management, do their best to provide the best services to customs in order to survive in the environment competitively. Management of IP network, in fact, needs the measurement firstly. So, researching the theory of IP network measurement and developing measurement technology and production have played an important role in network technology.
