Comprehensive Evaluation on Sustainable Development of Urban Agritourism

Urban agritourism is a combined product from modern urban agriculture and tourism, which realized to improve agricultural efficiency, and increase rural incomes, and promote building of new socialist countryside. The index system for comprehensive evaluation on sustainable development of urban agritourism, which finished by sustainable development theory and Delphi method, includes 27 individuation indicators among 4 layers, and adopting AHP method to give weight on each index, then dividing grading standards .This paper makes comprehensive evaluation on the sustainable development of urban agritourism in Guangzhou Conghua from 2003 to 2007. The result shows that the sustainable development of urban agritourism in Guangzhou Conghua has produced considerable industrial economic benefits. At the same time, resource developing and environmental protection is stability, and social welfare and cultural quality is elevating progressively. Finally, based on the analysis, the paper gives some suggestions on how to promote sustainable development of urban agritourism.
