Abstract :
A new non-data-aided signal-to-noise ratio estimator for QPSK modulations in additive white Gaussian noise is proposed. It uses a simplified structure to achieve a good performance with less computational complexity. Simulation results show that the new estimator has smaller bias than existing estimators. The small bias and low computational complexity make it useful for practical applications.
