  • Abstract
    This paper examines two methods-shifting magnet, optimizing the magnet pole arc-for cogging torque reducing in permanent magnet motors. The methods were applied to existing machine designs and their performance was calculated using Flux 2D which bases on finite-element analysis (FEA).
