Abstract
Evaluation method is a core technology in the freeway traffic accidents forewarning system. This paper used the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Model based on Analytic Hierarchy Process which integrated the advantages of both Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation and AHP. Based on the Fuzzy Theory, some evaluation factors that are difficult to quantify and whose boundaries are unclear have been quantified. In actual evaluations, Delphi Method is used to quantify the qualitative factors. The establishment of the criteria weight sets uses AHP. According to the principal of the forewarning system, the evaluation criteria system was established. Finally, an illustration is given to show how this method works. The result shows that Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation based on AHP is an effective method to evaluate the safety condition of a freeway system in the freeway traffic accidents forewarning system.
