Abstract :
Reviewed past 20 years, over hundreds SRM converter are presented. More of SRM converters belong to a part of capacitive type of SRM converter. The detailed classification of the capacitive type of SRM converter which is easy to find the characteristic of SRM converter is necessary. One of important viewpoint is that most of the power converter characteristics are determined by the topology of the front-end circuit. Due to the capacitive front-end widely used in the power converters, this paper only focus on researching topologies with a purely capacitive type of front-end circuit. Based on the characteristics of the capacitive type front-end, the classification of capacitive type converter topologies for SRM is presented. Different characteristic of capacitive type SRM converter is explained in detail. Some experimental results of SRM converters have been done.
