Abstract
For realizing the areal density of beyond 5Tb/in2, thermal assisted magnetic recording (TAMR) is required. However, we should investigate and improve the dynamic characteristics of T AMR head gimbal assembly (HGA) for the reliability of the system. In this manuscript, we investigate the shock performance of the T AMR HGA and the mechanical characteristics related to the off-track direction. In addition, we analyze the thermal effect for T AMR HGA with optical block. And we discuss the improvement of dynamic characteristics of the proposed T AMR HGA.
