Abstract
The dimple-flexure slip phenomenon induced by the ramp contact of suspension tip-tab can affect the L/UL performance and L/UL area. They should be considered in order to design the tolerable LUL zone and improve the LUL performance. In this paper, we investigate various design parameters which are ramp contact position, suspension loadbeam stiffness, contact force and contact duration. In addition, we verify the dimple-flexure slip and LUL performance according to different ramp contact-characteristics.
