Abstract :
To analyze the welding deformation of hull block efficiently, the mechanical method is introduced to establish the relation between the original loads, including inherent strain and stress of joint modular, and initial loads of structure model. Being taken as one joint modular, angle seam is separated from structure. The inherent stress and strain distribution of joint modular have been obtained by thermal elastic and plastic finite ANSYS analysis and treated as original loads. To obtain initial loads for structure analysis, mechanics principles have been applied to establish the mathematic relation between original loads in joint modular and initial loads in structure model. Then the welding distortion of structure has been analyzed by limited element method when the hull block model is established and initial conditions are loaded. Compared to measured data from ship factory, the result of simulation based on the mechanics method has been verified to be high efficiency and accuracy by hull block example.
